The one whose presence is everywhere, may we become increasingly aware that you are near and suffer with us in our pain.
Sometimes your Spirit prompts us to say a kind word or leads us to do something for a person in need.
May we bring comfort and support to one another, with no judgement, giving no offence and doing no harm.
Help us learn the lessons of humility and know our journey is not ours alone but we journey together with other people.
May this Congregation be the light of Christ in our families, with our friends and in this community and indeed, as we pray, a light in the world.
May our hearts be filled with gratitude as in awe we sense your eternal presence, fill us with joy, hope and peace.
For those known to us who are sick, and for those who feel depressed and sad we pray.
Be their strength and comfort and may your healing bring us all through our difficult times.
Christ of creation,
Send your love, that we may live in peace and radiate peace.
Send your love, that we may think, act and speak harmoniously.
Send your love, that we may be content and thankful for all that is given.
Send your love that we may respond with patience to the challenges we face.
Send your love, that our lives may be reflections of your light.
Send your love, that in our world’s aggression, those who suffer will find peace.
Our Father, our Mother, our provider, send your love that we may be kind, generous extensions of the peace and joy that is sourced in you. Through Christ of Eternity. Amen.
